Jerzy Goliszewski was born in 1981 in Warsaw. He studied painting and graphic design at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts. Winner of the first prize in the Józef Szajna Competition in 2008 and of the CEC ArtsLink Award in 2010. He practices installation art, sculpture and objects as well as carrying out site-specific projects. His work consists elements of architecture and design. Goliszewski works with space and its details transforming and arranging them in his own manner. His works have been presented in Warsaw, at Galeria Le Guern; Zbigniew Raszewski's Theatrical Institute; Zachta National Gallery of Art, amongst others, as well as at SPACES, Cleveland and in Berlin, Dresden and Sapporo. He has also participated in the 6th Triennial of Young Artists at the Polish Sculpture Centre in Orosko, and in the Wola Art Festival. He lives and works in Berlin.
