Picasso and the Art of Ceramics: The Madoura Chapter explores Pablo Picasso’s creative journey in ceramics, focusing on his collaboration with the Madoura pottery workshop in Vallauris, France. From 1946 to 1971, Picasso embraced the medium with playful innovation, transforming traditional ceramic forms into bold, expressive works featuring animals, mythological figures, and abstract designs.

At Madoura, he experimented with new techniques, developing a unique style that blended painting and sculpture. His partnership with the workshop also led to the production of edition ceramics—limited series of plates, vases, and pitchers that brought his artistry to a wider audience.

This exhibition highlights Picasso’s groundbreaking approach to ceramics, showcasing how he redefined the craft and left a lasting artistic legacy.
