Biography

Rembrandt Bugatti was an Italian sculptor who in spite of his short career leaves with thirty one years a prodigious work behind him.

His animal sculptures are the perfect in between of an aesthetic refinement of the forms and the intensity of the expression.

Mixing his affinities for cubism, futurism and expressionism, he will assume a precursor's role for the existentialist artists as Marini or Frink.

Of a complex psychology and a painful life: his innate empathy with the life of its subjects, will be worth to him and created a permanent attraction for its sculptures.
