Overview

From 1919, Pablo Picasso would regularly travel to the South of France. He became quickly enchanted by the charm and the culture of the region that would provide the artist with endless creative stimulation. The mystique of Côte d'Azur inspired Picasso's most innovative ideas such as his collaboration with the Ramié couple, founders of the renown Madoura workshop. Through the exploration of the ceramic technique, the sculptor manufactured a wonderful universe filled with forms and textures. The French Riviera also enhanced his fascination with with the Faune, a playful symbol of peace and fertility with whom he identified.

Through Picasso x Vallauris, Bailly Gallery pays tribute to this extraordinary artist and his beloved Côte d'Azur that had become his new home.

The exhibition presents a testimony of a lifetime accomplishments carefully composed by a selection of drawings, oil on canvas and ceramics.
